He made his major league debut on April 2, 2007 and won his first game on April 15 against the New York Yankees.

Marshall finished the 2007 season with a 1-2 record and a 6.43 ERA in 51 games. Following the season, on October 15, Marshall was claimed off waivers by the Boston Red Sox.
